Rahul Beruar
Partner
Rahul is a partner and co-founder of Beruar & Beruar and leads the firm's Intellectual Property practice. Rahul's practice focuses on managing IP portfolio for domestic and global industry leaders, including patent, trademark, design and copyright prosecution/procurement, domain name disputes, brand management, IP transactions and litigation.

Rahul has successfully represented the clients' interest spanning from prosecution to litigation, active enforcements and investigation. He has successfully represented clients in civil and /or criminal proceedings before various courts across India, tribunals such as the Intellectual Property Appellate Board (IPAB), inter alia and relevant administrative and quasi-judicial authorities.

Rahul has also been actively involved in the anti-piracy campaign in India and spearheaded several investigations on behalf of software and publishing giants. In-fact, Rahul has been reported as "One of the best copyright lawyer equipped to handle civil as well as criminal enforcement of Copyright" by the Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) IP Handbook.

With over 16 years of experience, Rahul has advised and offered innovative solutions to his clients spread across industries, including automotive, luxury & hospitality, software, publishing & education, fashion healthcare & pharmaceuticals, media and entertainment, sports, technology, inter alia in strengthening their IP portfolio and pushing for stronger IP management and protection.

Prior to founding Beruar & Beruar, Rahul was a partner with Clasis Law wherein he set up the IP team and continued to lead the Intellectual Property division of the firm. Rahul was also associated as a partner with Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, New Delhi heading the Trade Marks and Copyright Enforcement practice there.

Rahul has also worked with and headed the Copyright and IP Enforcement Practice at reputed law firms namely FoxMandal Little and Akash Chittranshi & Associates.

A graduate in Physics (Hons.), Rahul obtained his law degree from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi in 2002. Rahul is actively involved in deliberations on emerging IP issues globally through the International Trade Marks Association (INTA) WIPF, APAA amongst others and also enjoys extensive working relations with international firms particularly from United States, Africa & Middle East, Europe, Australia, China, Japan and South East Asia. He also writes extensively on the developments in IP and related laws in India and engages in prestigious seminars and conferences.
